Using your strong teamwork skills, you will safely and efficiently build wood crates using blueprints (cut sheets) and power tools to meet customer specifications for quality and on-time delivery. You will log in and out of jobs in the Ops Center (Production software planning system) to track jobs and follow production schedules. You’ll also follow safety and personal protective equipment requirementsÂ

What You’ll Be DoingÂ
 Â
Builds various sized wood crates while safely using power toolsÂ
-
i.e., nail and staple guns, power drills, grinders, and hammersÂ
-
Use tape measure to ensure the measurements match the cut sheet up to 1/8th inchÂ
-
Safe ladder use required when assembling the tops (caps) of cratesÂ
-
May need to assemble bases or skids for crates on the ground. This requires use of a 20 pound, 3.5-inch nail gun while crouching and/or kneelingÂ
-
Able to read, interpret, find, and document possible cut sheet and/or stenciling errorsÂ
-
Use of adhesives to apply foam to wood crates and conduct specification checksÂ

Efficiently perform work according to standard operating proceduresÂ
Use of equipment and when to speak to your supervisorÂ

Follow all procedures, policies and understand equipment use, before useÂ

To ensure safety, report equipment defects and/or maintenance needs to your supervisorÂ

To help protect yourself and others, please report any unsafe acts to your supervisorÂ
What We’d Like to See from YouÂ

RequiredÂ

3 months of experience in carpentry, construction and/or landscapingÂ

Use of dimensional and electrical power tools and motorized equipmentÂ

Basic computer skills to use Ops Center to log in & out of jobs with employee ID numberÂ
PreferredÂ

High School diploma or GEDÂ

Bilingual (English/Spanish)Â

Forklift experienceÂ
