Global Order Fulfillment - Global OperationsÂ
The Systems Planning organization within Global Order Fulfillment is at the center of Lam’s ability to deliver predictable, scalable, and responsive operations. By bringing together planning, manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics, Systems Planning ensures that customer demand is translated into clear, executable outcomes across the global factory network.
The Global Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations. We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business.
The impact you’ll make
The Factory Production Planning (FPP) role is the single accountable owner of the factory production plan, responsible for balancing demand, capacity, and constraints to deliver an executable plan that supports on-time customer delivery and operational efficiency.
FPP translates global production targets and demand signals into realistic factory plans by aligning manufacturing capacity, resource availability, and business priorities. Acting as the critical link between strategic planning and factory execution, FPP ensures plans are feasible, stable, and achievable while providing clear visibility to risks, constraints, and mitigation actions.
Working closely with Global Production Planning (GPP), Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Logistics, FPP drives informed trade-off decisions across capacity, volume, product mix, and factory loading to optimize network performance and support customer commitments. The role governs production planning assumptions, maintains plan integrity, and ensures transparent communication of plan changes, risks, and impacts.
Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders while enabling faster decision-making, improved schedule stability, and disciplined execution across the manufacturing network.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will directly influence Lam’s ability to deliver predictably at scale in a highly constrained and dynamic manufacturing environment. By owning and governing the integrated production and capacity plan, you will:
- Enable predictable execution by providing a single, trusted plan of record that aligns demand, capacity, and constraints across the global network
- Drive earlier, faster decision‑making by identifying structural risks upstream and leading clear trade‑off decisions before issues reach execution forums
- Improve global capacity utilization and efficiency by planning capacity as a shared enterprise asset rather than reacting to site‑level constraints
- Protect customer delivery commitments by translating demand into feasible plans and mitigating risks before they impact lead time, SRD, or shipment performance
- Strengthen planning governance and confidence by ensuring data integrity, transparent assumptions, and disciplined version‑to‑version plan management
- Support Lam’s growth by enabling a scalable operating model capable of sustaining accelerated demand without increasing churn, late escalations, or execution instabilityÂ
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain planning in a global environment
- Strong understanding of S&OP, capacity planning, and production planning frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to manage plans in highly constrained, fast‑changing environments
- Experience with enterprise planning systems and data tools (e.g., SAP, CRM, Kinaxis, Power BI, Microsoft applications)
The ideal candidate:
- Strategic thinker with strong business and financial acumen
- Highly analytical and data‑driven, with exceptional attention to detail
- Comfortable making and defending trade‑off decisions under ambiguity
- Strong influencer with the ability to align diverse stakeholders globally
- Resilient and adaptable in environments with frequent change and competing priorities
- High accountability, ownership mindset, and commitment to quality and execution excellence
- Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for building scalable, disciplined planning processes
Preferred qualifications
- APICS / ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred
