Ascentec Engineering is seeking a Lathe Machinist Production Supervisor to join our team. We are an industry-leading, AS9100-certified contract CNC machining and assembly provider dedicated to producing some of the world’s most advanced hardware.Â
The Lathe Machinist Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and leading the team’s day-to-day operations to ensure resources are effectively deployed in alignment with company goals and objectives. This role collaborates cross-functionally with departments including Quality, Materials, Packaging & Shipping, Engineering, and Human Resources to ensure the daily needs of manufacturing operations are met efficiently and consistently.Â
This position is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) and not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Job Responsibilities: To include but not limited to the following:Â
- Helps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job resultsÂ
- Able to overcome complex problems immediately to facilitate customer scheduling needs, then assist in determining a root cause, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrencesÂ
- Enforces company policies and guidelinesÂ
- Recruits, hires, and trains employeesÂ
- Assists workers by offering personal growth opportunities
- Implements cost-saving strategies and techniquesÂ
- Ensures that production plans are completed by a certain time
- Contacts appropriate sources for repair issues
- Counsels employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow
- Resolves issues and disputes between manufacturing employees
- Creates and maintains professional schedules
- Communicates with and assists other manufacturing departments as needed
- Evaluates the condition of production equipment
- Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers -- Compiles and analyzes production recordsÂ
Production Supervisor Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Business Management or Engineering and 3+ years previous supervisory experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (required); Advanced Excel experience (preferred)
- Excellent coaching and communication skills
- Ability to track expenses and compile budget reports
- Broad knowledge of production planning processes
- Strategic planning skillsÂ
- Experience working in a CNC Machining Environment (required)Â
- Understanding of CNC machine controls and instrumentation -- Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced settingÂ
Working Conditions:
- Works in a machine shop environment.Â
- May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 40 lbs.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.Â
- Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Â Â

Compensation/Benefits:Â
- $53,000 to $90,000 per year DOE
