The group you’ll be a part of

The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.   

The impact you’ll make

As a Product Manager within the Customer Service Business Group (CSBG), you will own the spares portfolio for electrostatic chucks used in dielectric and conductor etch tools. In this role, you will be accountable for defending and growing the Spares aftermarket business.

Locations: Fremont, CA or Tualatin, OR

What you’ll do

  • Lead development and release of new Spare products to address emerging aftermarket business opportunities.
  • Define and drive the long-term spares strategy to protect and grow the aftermarket business.
  • Own lifecycle management of released products within the Spares portfolio.
  • Partner with the etch product group in support of the systems product development and release process where Spares and Systems businesses intersect.
  • Collaborate closely with supply chain, engineering, operations, marketing, and business development teams to deliver business outcomes.

Who we’re looking for

  • Master’s degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience; or a PhD with 5+ years of experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Required experience with semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to design and interpret experiments and data.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to drive execution by holding cross-functional teams and support groups accountable to business requirements.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with critical suppliers and key internal stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong bias toward action.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with one or more families of semiconductor equipment.
  • Experience solving complex problems by clearly defining symptoms, identifying root causes, and driving corrective actions.
  • Proven experience driving solutions across multidisciplinary development teams (engineering, marketing, business development) through clear vision, market requirements, and positioning.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
