Job DetailsJob Location: Kent, WA 98032Salary Range: $23.00 - $28.00 HourlyJob Summary: The focus of this Forklift Operator/Material Handler position is to meet or exceed D.I.F.O.T.I.S. (Delivery in Full, On Time, and in Spec). This position is fast paced with quick turnaround times to ensure customer orders are completed efficiently and with no errors.   Specific Requirements: Hard Skills (Forklift Operation) 5+ years Certified Forklift Operator required Forklift Operation: Operates standard and specialized Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to move, load, unload, stack, and unstack raw materials, products, and equipment.  Load Handling: Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and shelves by hand or through use of MHE. Loads or unloads trucks as required. Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together. Lifts objects by hand and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.  Maintenance & Inspection: Performs daily inspection on forklift and turns in Daily/Weekly Inspection Report at the end of each week, including participation in battery maintenance.  Inventory Management: Participates in inventory counting events and inventory management as required. Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled and enters information in electronic scanner as required. Experience with Top Gun, RF scanners, barcodes, or similar is required. This includes keeping accurate records of goods moved. Soft Skills (Production Lead) Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to identify and avoid potential hazards in a busy warehouse. Attention to Detail and Quality: Reads factory ticket and/or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or products to be moved. Precision is key to avoiding damage to products, equipment, or facilities. Operators need to pay close attention to their surroundings, the condition of the loads, and the placement of materials to ensure quality.  Communication & Teamwork: Operator works directly with other warehouse staff, shift leads and managers. Clear communication is vital for D.I.F.O.T.I.S. and ensuring a smooth workflow. Problem-Solving: The ability to think on your feet and address unexpected issues, such as misplaced / damaged paper or other missing components.  Time Management & Organization: Operators need to prioritize tasks, plan their schedule attainment, and complete assignments promptly to maintain a smooth flow of production. Flexibility: The workload can be dynamic, and operators may need to assist with other warehouse tasks as needed. May be assigned to production, receiving, shipping, warehouse, or distribution.  Patience: Operators are in busy areas, and require patience to ensure tasks are completed safely and accurately. QualificationsAdditional Requirements Ability to communicate and comprehend English language to read safety procedures or hazardous‑material labels, understand equipment instructions, communicate with supervisors or team members to maintain safety, complete documentation required for the role, understand order tickets, operate machinery, and other job duties.  Ability to determine necessary course of action when presented with a new issue or when a repetitive problem occurs.  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.   Ability to use a tape measure to determine correct size / customer’s requirements.  Able to consistently lift 75–100 pounds when handling materials, pallets, and equipment components.  Possess a basic understanding of Lean Methodology within a warehouse environment. Capable of standing, bending, twisting, climbing, and reaching throughout the entire shift in a fast‑paced environment.  Maintain a positive attitude and work effectively as part of a team to support safe and efficient operations.  Demonstrates reliability through consistent, on-time attendance and dependability in meeting work schedules. Proficient in general computer operations, including navigating in a Windows operating system managing files and folders, using email and calendar tools, and working with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office). Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.  The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and relevant education and training.  In addition to our compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including the following:   Bonus based on company performance  Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match Paid time off (including vacation, company holidays, and parental leave) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Other benefits such as life insurance, disability coverage, and wellness programsÂ
