Content Writer

We’re currently seeking a Content Writer to join our Headquarters team!
 
The Content Writer is responsible for creating clear, concise, readable, and brand-aligned content for internal audiences at Mister Car Wash. This includes news articles, corporate communications, operating procedures, technical documents, reference guides, video scripts, and more. The Content Writer collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure content is consistent, correct, and aligned with Mister’s goals. This position requires strong writing ability, creativity around storytelling, attention to detail, impeccable customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.  

What You Will Do:

Content Creation and Editing:

• Write, edit, and proofread articles for Mister Connect, Mister Car Wash’s intranet and internal communications hub.
• Prepare documentation, including, but not limited to, operating procedures, technical documents, reference guides, and job aids.
• Ensure all content aligns with style, voice, and brand guidelines.

Internal Communication Support:

• Advise internal business partners on how to effectively communicate with their intended audiences.

Visual Design:

• Design page layouts in Mister Connect with an eye toward balancing aesthetics and functionality.
• Partner with support teams to create polished graphics and short videos.

Content Planning and Research:

• Consult with subject matter experts and conduct research to gather reliable and accurate information.
• Maintain the content calendar and track deadlines to ensure timely publication and delivery of materials.

How You Will Shine:

Education:

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or related field preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Proven record of excellent writing with the ability to adjust voice, tone, sentence structure, and word choice to meet the needs of a diverse readership.
• Creative thinking with a passion for storytelling and crafting compelling narratives. 
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships, ask relevant questions, and seek clarification when needed.
• Relentless attention to detail coupled with the ability to maintain focus on the big picture.
• Able to manage time and track and execute multiple projects with limited direction.
• Willingness to accept and act on constructive feedback.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (knowledge of videography and HTML a plus).
