This position plays an important role in supporting resident comfort, dignity, and quality of life by ensuring resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other assigned areas are cleaned and maintained according to community standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and disinfect resident apartments, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, dining areas, offices, and other assigned spaces. Perform routine dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and other floor-care duties. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, and fixtures. Empty trash and replace liners as needed. Clean windows, doors, furniture, and other surfaces as assigned. Follow established cleaning schedules and infection-control and sanitation procedures. Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in a safe and orderly manner. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged property, or other issues to the appropriate supervisor. Assist with laundry or other housekeeping duties as assigned. Respect residents' privacy, personal belongings, and living spaces at all times. Interact with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner. Follow all community policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and applicable regulations. Maintain confidentiality regarding residents and community operations. Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Administrator. This position works throughout an assisted living community and may involve frequent interaction with older adults, families, visitors, and staff. The employee must maintain a professional, respectful, and resident-centered approach at all times. QualificationsQualifications Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred. Experience working in assisted living, senior living, healthcare, or a similar environment is a plus. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and coworkers. Must be able to safely use cleaning products and equipment according to instructions. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift as required to perform housekeeping duties. Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment within the requirements of the position.
