Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing baked goods for the Canyon Ranch menu as well as creating new recipes following Canyon Ranch Guidelines. Individual is responsible for preparing desserts and baked goods for the service period worked. Also responsible for training and supervision of Pastry Cook as well as cooks that will be plating desserts on a daily basis. Supervised by the Executive Chef, Sous Chef or designee.

Essential Functions and Duties
• Preparation: Prepares and arranges baked pastry and dessert items according to Canyon Ranch’s recipes, nutrition philosophy, and quality presentation.Â
• Knowledge: Continually updates knowledge of Ranch recipes, food preparation and food presentation.Â
• Operations: Performs opening and closing procedures as directed.Â
• Create new recipes on a seasonally basis following Canyon Ranch StandardsÂ
• Training: Trains and supervises Pastry Cooks to ensure production of high-quality baked goods.

Qualifications
Minimum Associate degree or two-year equivalent specialized training or experience required in baking or pastry.
Significant specialized experience (6-10 years’ experience in same or related field).
