Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certification as Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred/required
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
- Ability to work in fast-paced operating room environments
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
- BLS certification may be required
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms and arrange surgical instruments
- Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies
- Anticipate surgeon needs during operations
- Count instruments, sponges, and supplies before and after surgery
- Prepare patients for surgery and assist with positioning
- Handle specimens according to policy
- Clean and restock operating rooms post-procedure
