This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical experience who wants to grow their career in fleet maintenance and develop their skills working on buses, motor coaches, and support vehicles.

If you are mechanically minded, dependable, safety-focused, and ready to learn, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with inspections, servicing, and repairs to keep vehicles safe and road-ready.
  • Perform oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, lubrication, and other scheduled maintenance.
  • Assist with brake inspections, tire maintenance, suspension work, and other mechanical repairs.
  • Assist senior technicians with diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and vehicle performance issues.
  • Inspect vehicles and report potential maintenance issues before they become major repairs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage documentation.
  • Use basic hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment safely and properly.
  • Keep the maintenance shop, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and applicable DOT requirements.
  • Work closely with technicians, drivers, dispatchers, and operations personnel to help keep vehicles available and road-ready.
  • Learn and develop skills related to diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical systems, HVAC, suspension, and other commercial vehicle components.
  • Assist with roadside breakdowns and emergency maintenance needs when required.

What We're Looking For

  • Mechanical experience in automotive, diesel, fleet, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions, troubleshoot problems, and work safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently while also being part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced technicians.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, drivers, dispatchers, and management.
  • Ability to learn new systems, equipment, and technology as our operation continues to grow.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working on diesel engines, buses, trucks, commercial vehicles, or heavy equipment.
  • Previous fleet maintenance or preventative maintenance experience.
  • Basic knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical systems, or vehicle diagnostics.
  • CDL Class B or higher with air brake and passenger endorsements.
  • ASE certifications or technical training.
  • Completion of a diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment maintenance program.
  • Experience working in a commercial fleet or transportation environment.

Why Join Mustang?

  • Competitive pay based on experience.
  • Full-time, year-round employment.
  • Brand-new maintenance shop being built for our growing team.
  • Hands-on training and opportunities to develop your mechanical skills.
  • Advancement opportunities as our Nevada operations continue to grow.
  • Supportive, team-oriented culture.
  • Opportunity to grow into a higher-level technician role.
