I.Ā Job Summary
Supervise and conduct operation and maintenance activities at all assigned closed landfills.
II.Ā Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesĀ

Through on-site training, be able to demonstrate a solid working knowledge of allĀ site-specificĀ systemĀ operation and maintenance requirements includingĀ landfillĀ gasĀ management systems and controls, leachateĀ managementĀ systems andĀ controls, treatmentĀ systems and controls,Ā groundwater andĀ surface water systemsĀ asĀ wellĀ asĀ other ancillary equipment and otherĀ siteĀ maintenanceĀ requirements.
Manage site operation and maintenance activities within assigned site budgets.Ā Notify District Manager if activities will cause a variance to annual budgeted amounts.
Supervises contractors and consultants. Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures.
Coordinates workflow and assignments toward the achievement of operational goals.Ā
Supervises and monitors daily landfill operations, and reviews and controls implementation of safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
Coordinates, oversees repairs, maintenance, and inspections of closed landfill systems. Ā
Collects/Reviews weekly and/or monthly readings. Creates and submits records and reports.
Direct supervision of third-party contractors and consultants

A.Ā Education and Experience
Ā
Education:Ā High School Diploma or G.E.D (accredited).
Experience:Ā One (1) to three (3) years of previous relevant experience (in addition to education requirement).
Ā
B.Ā Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
Ā
Preferred:Ā OSHA 1910.120 Hazwoper training and First aid.Ā Not required.
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Ā
Bachelorās Degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences/Studies or equivalent technical degree and one (1) three (3) years of environmental field experiences is preferred.
Ā
Health, safety and environmental regulations knowledge, and supervisory experience may be required.
Ā
Possess written and verbal communication skills and computer skills (e.g., MS office and Power BI familiarity) and ability to learn to utilize other job-related technical software.Ā Including, but not limited to āAppā based technologies to facilitate digital inspections, reporting and data/analytics.
Ā
Some knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers, SCADA and/or automation and control systems is beneficial.

ā¢Ā Assigned to multiple facilities in the Greater Mid Atlantic (GMA) area, which include Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia for site inspections or meetings, training, or program administration purposes will be necessary 3 to 6 times per quarter, and that travel will require overnight stays.
