POSITION SUMMARY:Â Â The Teller is responsible for accurately conducting financial transactions, providing excellent customer service to bank customers and responses to inquiries regarding products and services. Â Duties are performed under the supervisor of the Branch Manager and follow established bank policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end-of-shift and calculate daily transactions using computer, calculator, or adding machine, balance and replenish automated cash recycler, identify transaction errors when debits and credits do not balance
- Accurately process customer transactions such as cash back, deposits, term deposits, loan payments, retirement savings plan contributions, night deposits, courier deposits, and mail deposits and other requests by following established bank policy. Â
- Prepare and verify cashier’s checks, money orders, cash advances, and disbursements checks
- Balancing the vault, ordering, and selling currency and coinÂ
- Assist monthly and quarterly branch audits of cash drawers, the vault, key inventory, safe deposit box audit and others as assigned. Â Â
- Ensure the highest level of customer service possible is provided to all bank customer at each interaction. Â
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions
- Follow procedures established according to teller manual, including opening, and closing check lists and all other policies set forth by First Oklahoma Bank
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
- Ability to demonstrate good math skills, exercise sound judgment and discretion, maintain confidential information
- Adaptability – ability to adapt to fast pace and rapid changes. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and handle unexpected delays or events while maintaining constant attention to detail
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Â
- Practice and promote teamwork within the organization
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with both staff and bank customers
- High level of dependability regarding attendance and punctuality
Equivalent Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications
- Six months recent teller experience is preferred
- Associates Degree
