PRYER Aerospace is hiring for a Full Time Experienced CNC Programmer. PRYER Aerospace is a leading provider of structural components, assemblies and kits to the aerospace industry. We specialize in the fabrication of complex sheet metal and machined components for commercial, corporate and military aircraft.

The Position leads the development of and provides liaison support for all CNC programming needed to support machining/milling/laser cutting operations. Develops and oversees the application of preferred methods and practices for all company programming and verification activity at both facilities. Incorporates a standard approach per material type and machining platform utilizing a standard cutter list with proven cutting parameters to ensure optimal machine performance (Avg MRR) is achieved.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provides machine shop support and troubleshooting for all CNC programming.

Works with Manufacturing for the selection and/or introduction of cutting tools.

Creates and maintains CAM drawings/datasets and setup sheets .

Investigates and resolves complex technical issues as they relate to part machining, including supporting comprehensive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives.

Works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing employees for product development, CAM improvements, machine time improvement activities, and tool cost reduction

Assists with 3D modeling of products as needed
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in multi-axis NC programming of aluminum and hard metals. Familiarity with Esprit a plus.
- Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS:

Minimum of 5 years advanced CATIA/CAD system operating experience with proficiency in CATIA V5 preferred.

Experience with Esprit.

Experience with Vericut Required.

Experience with IMS is a plus
-
Post building experience a plus, will train the right person.

Proficiency in MS Office suite

Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Experience with one or more of Fanuc, Mazak, HAAS controls, and Siemens.

Ability to read and understand drawings required.

Ability to read, interpret and apply GD&T and FD&T requirements to work product.

Knowledge of project management, lean manufacturing
