Job Description Overview

Electrical Engineer supports Product Engineers by preparing one lines, wiring diagrams, panel board schedules, and raceway and conductor schedules. Additionally Electrical Engineer approves OEM proposals and drawings for purchasing and construction.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drawone-lines from customerspecificationsand load lists.
  • Build panel boards,MCC, and switchgearconfigurationsfrom load lists.
  • Preform fill calculations for raceway:conduit, wireway, and cable tray.
  • Create panelboard schedules from load lists.
  • Create raceway/ conductor schedules from onelinesandgeneral assembly drawings.
  • ApproveOEM MCC, switchgear, VFDdrawings and proposals.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Experience inindustrial electricaldesignrequired.
  • Experience inmedium voltagepreferred.
  • Experience with design engineering in a manufacturing environmentis preferred.
  • ProficiencyinAutoCADLT ispreferred, competitive softwareexperience excepted.
  • ProficiencywithInternational Building Code,International Mechanical Code,International Energy Conservation Code, andNational Electrical Code, NFPA70preferred. 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master'sdegree inelectricalengineering ora relatedfieldrequired.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Professional EngineerLicense, preferred.
