Job DetailsJob Location: Monte Cassino School - Tulsa, OK 74114Position Type: Full TimeMonte Cassino School is seeking a Maintenance Associate.   Monte Cassino School is a Catholic Benedictine, independent, co-ed school, Grades PK3-8, with an Early Childhood Learning Center (PK3-K), Elementary School (grades 1-4), and Middle School (grades 5-8) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. With over 800 students, and rooted in the Values of Benedictine education, Monte Cassino School inspires its students to lead and serve, through lives of purpose that integrate faith, academics, community, and personal growth in pursuit of our school motto, “Every day at Monte Cassino School we do our best so that in all things God may be Glorified.”    The Maintenance Associate at Monte Cassino School plays a role in performing repairs and maintenance on all buildings, grounds and equipment associated with the school in a timely manner.  This role also helps set up and break down school events.   The Maintenance Associate:  Maintains Catholic Benedictine Philosophy. Is loyal and committed to Monte Cassino School, its Policies and Procedures. Maintains supportive, cooperative, friendly demeanor with peers, visitors, and administration. Keeps all duties, records, and job requirements complete and up to date. Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive information with the understanding that receiving certain information will trigger a duty to act upon that information. When presented with confidential information, it is your duty to disclose only to your immediate supervisor in a manner that respects the confidential nature of the information. Calls his or her supervisor every day that he or she is not going to be at work or is going to be late. Inspects and evaluates physical condition of all facilities daily. Reports safety or maintenance issues that occur.  Maintains a daily log journal of activities. Submits to maintenance supervisor for anticipated summer work schedules, working hours, and dates for work accomplishment. Assists with annual inspections of critical systems i.e. Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Systems. Assists in inventory and ordering critical parts and supplies. Makes necessary repairs on the plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems. Performs necessary set ups for school meetings, plays, athletic event, and special events. Completes work orders, and PM’s as assigned. QualificationsThe desired candidate has: High School Diploma, Technical Schooling is desired, 3rd Class Stationary Engineer desired, six months to a year experience/training. Clear criminal history and driving record. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as ratios, proportions, percentages, areas, circumferences, and volumes. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work effectively with school personnel, community members, and students.    Physical requirements: Works in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide variety of challenges and deadlines Must have the physical energy and stamina to move about campus throughout the day, including climbing staircases; may work long hours Be able to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds Works intermittently in a variety of weather conditions, including the possibility of extreme heat and cold May come in contact with or be exposed to hazardous materials or health risks such as blood or airborne pathogens. Specific visions abilities are required that include peripheral vision, and close vision such as reading typewritten material.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Works at desk and on a computer for periods of time; must be able to operate office equipment
