JOB SUMMARY:
The Operations Analyst supports manufacturing operations by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting operational data to identify trends, improve performance, and drive business results. This position works closely with production, supply chain, maintenance, quality, and management teams to optimize processes, improve productivity, reduce waste, and support strategic decision-making.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Analyze production, inventory, labor, and operational performance data.
• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports, dashboards, and schedules.
• Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Prepare presentations and reports for plant leadership and management teams.
• Participate in cross-functional projects focused on process optimization and cost reduction.
• Assist in developing and implementing process improvements that increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of operational datasets.
• Creating and maintaining production planning and scheduling activities.
• Analyze capacity, resource utilization, and production constraints.
• Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure material availability
• Develop and improve automated reporting tools and dashboards
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Performs other duties as assigned by the BS&B senior management group.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field, preferred. Applicants with substantial relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
• 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations analysis, supply chain, or business analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, Power Query, and complex formulas.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other business intelligence tools.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs and performance measurement systems
