Philbrook Museum of Art is seeking a reliable, safety-minded individual with a passion for creating outstanding visitor experiences to join our security team. The Security Team provides an essential front-line service in safeguarding staff and visitors, in addition to artwork and other museum property. Security Staff Essential Responsibilities:

• Monitor multiple security systems, including: CCTV, alarms, fire detection
• Receive guests and deliveries
• Maintaining visitor and property logs
• Patrolling buildings and grounds
• Conducting art counts
• Deliver excellent service, both internal and external
• Maintain high standards of safety and security

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a safety, security, or related field
• Customer service experience preferred
• First Aid and CPR certification a plus

Qualifications:

• A strong passion for the mission and commitment to delivering Philbrook's vision
• Strong customer service skills in a public setting
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to use good judgment
• Able to handle confidential information with discretion
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and calm under pressure
• Must be able to stand and walk 50% of the time
• CLEET trained and certified preferred but not required
• First Aid/CPR/AED training preferred but not required

Pay & Schedule Information:

$15/hour 

8:00am - 4:00pm

Wednesday through Sunday (will occasionally be needed on Mondays and Tuesdays)

Note on Environment:

This position will require being outdoors at times, and it may be hot/cold or we may be experiencing inclement weather. Philbrook shirts are provided, but coats/cold-weather gear are not provided.
