Summary/Objective:

The Service Technician serves as an ambassador for the Company and is responsible for repairs and maintenance of the equipment that Fluid Flow Products sells and supports. This includes, but is not limited to, compressed air equipment (compressors, dryers), rotating equipment (vacuum systems and fluid pumps), stationary equipment (nitrogen generators and analyzers), process valves, instrumentation and related controls. Services are performed on-site and on demand to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions

Ā· Perform mechanical and electrical duties to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, survey, and commission related equipment and systems.

Ā· Perform annual and semi-annual maintenance and testing.

Ā· Respond to emergency calls during normal operating hours and outside of normal operating hours as required.

Ā· Resolve customer initiated technical issues.

Ā· Perform electrical tests with a voltmeter.

Ā· Work at customer site.

Ā· Build and maintain client relationships.

Ā· Serves as a technical resource to customers.

Ā· Partner with company sales representatives and management to increase service and aftermarket business.

Ā· Complete daily reports and maintenance checklists as required and forward to customers and company admin team.

Ā· Territory is primarily but not limited to areas between Memphis, TN and Tulsa, OK.

Ā· Travel to assist other Fluid Flow Technicians as needed.

Candidates with prior field experience with compressed air systems are encouraged to apply. Factory certifications for any type of equipment are not mandatory but would be beneficial. Specific system training will be provided.

Work Environment

This job operates in Industrial, Biopharmaceutical, Food manufacturing environments, as well as our shop for some repairs/rebuilds. This role routinely uses hand and power tools as well as office equipment such as laptop computers, and smartphones.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This position would require the ability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted occasionally. Ability to climb and work on ladders and scaffolding is required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, but candidate must be able to work flexible hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Local travel within geographic territory is expected with this position 100% of the time. Occasional travel outside the territory is required for training or assisting other technicians.

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Must have Mechanical Aptitude.

3. Previous work history with a service-based organization is a plus.

Required License and certifications

1. Must have a valid, unexpired driver’s license.

2. Have and maintain a good driving record
