About the Position
The Dog Bather plays a vital role at Scenthound, providing efficient, high-quality services that uphold our commitment to dog wellness and safety. This role will begin as a part-time position, with the intention of expanding to full-time as business growth allows.
Position Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation
- Flexible schedule with availability on Saturdays
- Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment
- Experience handling dogs
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a resilient, patient, and adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, coachable, and eager to learn and grow. They are a strong communicator who values teamwork, supports others, and maintains composure under pressure. A genuine passion for dog wellness, safety, and quality care is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Bathe, blow-dry, and perform prep services according to the order ticket
- Trim or grind nails, clean ears and teeth, brush coats, and express glands
- Observe and record dogs’ health indicators in the S.C.E.N.T. Check app
- Collaborate with the team to complete services efficiently and on schedule
- Ensure the safety and well-being of dogs and team members at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and adhere to Scenthound’s sanitation standards
- Assist teammates as needed and complete additional tasks assigned by the Scenter Manager
