Food Safety/Quality Assurance Intern

Hours:
40 hour work week with possible off shift work
Working hours/days are flexible. We will adjust based on class schedule.
Compensation – $18.60/HR

Position Description:
The Food Safety/QA Intern is expected to assist QA Management in leading food safety/quality assurance activities for their
shift, including key activities in the QA Department. This position will spend most of the time working in the production
environment verifying food safety/quality checks. They will be expected to have the skill and effectiveness in interpersonal
relations with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.


Qualifications:
• Sophomore level or higher in college
• HACCP/Food Safety knowledge
• Demonstrate the ability to solve problems
• Communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong technical abilities in making detailed observations, analyzing data, interpreting results, problem solving and
project coordination
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
Availability needed:
Opportunities are available during the summer break
