Job Description:

Lead the execution of experiments, tests, and prototype assembly to drive product development and enhancement. Apply advanced data analysis techniques to provide strategic insights for product refinement and improvement.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical leadership and expertise to junior technicians and team members, serving as a subject matter expert in specific engineering disciplines or areas of specialization.
  • Plans, designs, and executes complex tests, experiments, and analysis procedures on equipment, systems, and prototypes, ensuring thorough evaluation and validation of performance and functionality.
  • Analyzes, interprets, and synthesizes complex test data and results, drawing conclusions and making informed recommendations to engineering teams.
  • Applies advanced problem-solving skills and methodologies to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and challenges, leveraging deep technical knowledge and expertise.
  • Manages and maintains advanced technical instrumentation, equipment, and facilities, including calibration, troubleshooting, and optimization to support engineering operations effectively.
  • Prepares comprehensive technical reports, documentation, and presentations summarizing test methodologies, results, findings, and recommendations for internal audiences.
  • Establishes and enforces rigorous quality assurance processes and standards throughout the engineering lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, technicians, and project managers, fostering effective communication and teamwork to drive project success.
  • Stays current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in engineering fields, actively seeking out professional growth opportunities, and playing a role in innovation and ongoing improvement efforts.
  • Provides mentorship, training, and guidance to less experienced technicians and team members, sharing knowledge, skills, and best practices to support their professional growth and development.
  • Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment and minimizing risks to personnel and equipment.
  • Demonstrates the ability to locate parts, diagrams, and drawings independently within the AAON database.

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

Two-years HVAC degree from a technical school. Minimum of 7-10 years in the HVAC industry or equivalent experience in a similar industry. EPA 608 and A2L certification required.

Education or experience beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development.
