Rework Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Rework Operator is responsible for carrying out general rework operations according to planned operational requirements in order to safely deliver a good quality product to customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform initial inspection and cleaning
Monitor quality against set standards and reports any product defects.
Prepare, complete, measure, and install work - clamping equipment and tools.
Ensure all rework products are properly tagged and received from the line.
Daily communication with production surrounding rework.
Utilize appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials, products and equipment relevant to the task.
Training of new personnel.
Document problems and arrange corrective action.
Monitor work processes, conduct service work, housekeeping/cleaning duties, etc.
Develop and implement ways to do complex and difficult rework on work pieces.
Any and all other duties assigned by the supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

2 years' experience in a production environment
Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
High School Diploma
Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to a minimum of 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
Repetitive motions including bending, stooping, gripping, twisting, pushing, pulling.
Able to stand the majority of the shift to perform duties (10 hours max)
