JOB DESCRIPTION

Specialty Orthopedic Group is currently seeking an CSP Tech to join the Surgery Center full-time.

JOB SUMMARY

The CSP Tech cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, packages, sterilizes, stores, and distributes supplies, instruments, and equipment dispensed by the department following infection control guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment

- Assemble instrument trays and surgical sets according to established protocols

- Inspect instruments for damage or defects and report any issues

- Maintain inventory of supplies and order replacements as needed

- Follow proper handling procedures for contaminated items

- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners

- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

- Previous experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or similar role preferred

- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control practices

- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

- Understanding of sterilization techniques and equipment operation

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
