How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Service Technician I, you’ll help keep our customers’ material handling equipment safe, reliable, and ready to work. Whether you’re working at a customer site or in our shop, you’ll use your mechanical skills and problem-solving ability to diagnose issues, make quality repairs, and help prevent problems before they happen.
What You’ll Do
Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, steering, braking, lifting, engine, transmission, and related systems.
Troubleshoot problems and inspect equipment to identify failures, potential issues, and safety concerns, including rebuilding or repairing components and performing basic welding when needed.
Put safety first in every job by following proper equipment procedures, maintaining a clean work environment, participating in safety meetings, and meeting applicable OSHA, DOT, and company requirements.
Take ownership of quality service by completing repair documentation on time, maintaining needed parts and supplies, completing required technical training and certifications, and delivering a great customer experience.
What You’ll Bring
A high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and 1+ years of forklift repair or related mechanical experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude, technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and teammates.
Certification on at least 50% of the company product line; mechanical or trade school training and Hyster-Yale Maintenance or Service Technician certifications are preferred.
The ability to perform hands-on physical work, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and twisting; lifting up to 75 pounds.
