Compensation: $33.25 to $38.50 hourly

Our client in the Turlock area has an immediate opportunity for an Accounting Supervisor to assist their team for a temporary leave of absence.

To be successful on this position, the Accounting Manager will need to have the ability to partner with Plant/Manufacturing Operations team to help them achieve their goals. Through knowledge of accounting and skills in financial analysis, this role will support management and provide data driven recommendations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.General Accounting functions

Review month-end inventory balances and transactions.

Work with plant management on inventory management and controls.

Post Journal Entries to GL and manage accruals.

Support the Controller with Corporate Reporting requirements at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.

Oversee activities of other employees in Accounting and Accounts Payable.

2.Production Metrics and Statistics

Must gain a deep understanding of Raw Material inputs and drivers about Sensient grown products. Manufacturing activities range from dehydration, to cooking, milling, blending, and repacking.

Develop and report on production Key Performance Indicators to plant management.

Review spending (Supplies, Repair & Maintenance, and Labor) on a regular basis and provide summarized information to management.

Perform monthly account reconciliations.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Advanced MS Excel required. MS Access a plus.

Advanced analytic skills and critical thinking.

Finance and Cost Accounting experience of +5yrs for a manufacturing and/or food processing business.

Good understanding of General Ledger.

Experienced in hands-on involvement with manufacturing/processing departments.
