Inspect and complete assigned section of guest rooms to ensure adherence to company standards and quality guest service.

Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $18.15 per hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
- Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
- Focus on always providing exceptional quality of service to guests while maximizing profitability, both in how work is conducted and quality of work.
- Inspect daily, entire assigned section (guest rooms, linen rooms, hallways, grounds etc.) to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper condition to meet or exceed departmental and company standards.
- Report condition and status of guest rooms to Front Desk in an efficient and timely manner.
- Maintain and uphold all company policies, assist in the development of assigned employees through training and performance enhancement.
- Report to Executive Housekeeper on the performance and/or behavior of the employees assigned to the inspector.
- Assume duties of a GRA when necessary and able to effectively carry out duties of any assigned inspector shift.
- Control keys, master, and guest room keys, and maintain security of all guest rooms, both occupied and unoccupied.
- Enforce safety regulations, precautions, and information to provide a safe working atmosphere for self and employees assigned.
- Communicate effectively with Executive Housekeeper, Front Desk personnel, Bell Attendant staff, maintenance and other departments and guests.
- Participate in established programs designed to further professional growth and development.
- Adhere to all prescribed Company, statutory/regulatory policies, and procedures such as safety, risk management and environmental policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of rooms and hotel layout The Grand Hotel property, including general knowledge of available services with the ability to convey information to the guests.
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or custodial position.

Constantly: Stand and walk
Frequently: Handle, reach outward & above shoulder, bend, lift/carry up to 20 lbs., and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
Occasionally: Sit, climb, crawl, squat/kneel, lift/carry up to 100 lbs, and may work nonstandard hours.
