Job Summary:

The Lead Facilities Maintenance Engineer is an advanced skill level position responsible for performing and overseeing general maintenance/repair activities associated with the operation of all Xanterra Tusayan facilities.

 

The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Start Date: 01/14/2026 or later
Pay: $21.95/hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (ncludes weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

  • Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
  • Focus on always providing exceptional quality of service to guests, both in how work is conducted and when interacting with guests.
  • Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
  • Performs and completes assigned tasks without close supervision in an accurate, cost effective and timely manner.
  • Ability to learn all areas of Maintenance and train all General Maintenance grades
  • Ensure departmental adherence to all prescribed Company, statutory/regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Perform inspections, maintenance and keep employee housing units clean as directed by human resources.
  • Perform basic carpentry, carpet cleaning, pool maintenance and painting duties as necessary and directed.
  • Maintenance personnel must proactively seek out and report any maintenance issues and areas of improvement; work with maintenance manager to create preventative maintenance plans.
  • Ensure departmental usage of personal protective equipment as required while performing job.
  • Ensures all repairs involving electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and other repairs must adhere to current building codes and regulations.
  • Perform second level maintenance and repairs as related to the preventive maintenance program.
  • Ensure departmental adherence to all prescribed Company, statutory/regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid/clear Driver’s License, and be able to comply with the Xanterra Tusayan, LLC Company Vehicle Policy.
  • Ability to complete CPO Certification.

 

Physical Requirements include:

  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry as it relates to Engineering functions and familiar with current National Uniform Building Codes.
  • Two-year’s experience in general building maintenance, or in trades such as electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.
