About the Role:

The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer responsible for providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to the organization. This role ensures the alignment of all operational activities with the organization's mission, values, and long-term goals. The Executive Director oversees financial management, resource development, and stakeholder engagement to drive sustainable growth and impact. They act as the primary representative and spokesperson, fostering relationships with board members, partners, donors, and the community. Ultimately, the Executive Director is accountable for the overall success and integrity of the organization, ensuring it meets its objectives effectively and ethically.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of senior leadership experience, preferably in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, financial management, and fundraising.
  • Strong understanding of governance practices and experience working with boards of directors.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration, Public Administration, or Nonprofit Management.
  • Experience leading organizations through periods of growth or change.
  • Familiarity with the specific sector or community the organization serves.
  • Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and grants.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in nonprofit management and leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans that advance the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Manage daily operations, including oversight of staff, programs, and budgets to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead fundraising efforts, grant applications, and cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the board of directors, providing timely updates and facilitating board meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards across all organizational activities.
  • Represent the organization at public events, conferences, and in media communications to enhance visibility and reputation.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to maintain fiscal responsibility and transparency.
  • Promote a positive organizational culture that supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and professional development.
