In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting approximately 300 employees across our regional portfolio by handling benefits administration, recruitment onboarding, and industry compliance. Job Summary
The HR Assistant directly supports the HR Director with daily personnel operations for a successful, growing property management company that owns and operates apartment communities throughout the Southeast. Supporting a workforce of approximately 300 employees, this role balances standard administrative duties with benefits support, regional compliance tracking, and recruitment administration. 

Schedule & Location
  • Type: Full-time, 100% fully on-site.
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

  • Pay Rate: Hourly rate is competitive and Dependent on Experience (DOE).

Key Responsibilities

Director Support & Administrative Management
  • Provide direct administrative support to the HR Director on daily tasks and special projects.
  • Maintain digital files and employee records in the Human Resources Information System (ADP).
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding company policies and benefits.
  • Prepare HR reports for the HR Director on regional turnover rates, training completion, and open positions.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the HR Director to support evolving business needs. 

Benefits Support & Administration
  • Assist employees across all Southeast regional locations with benefits enrollment, status changes, and general plan inquiries.
  • Coordinate open enrollment under the direction of the HR Director by distributing materials.
  • Reconcile benefit invoices monthly against employee records to ensure accurate billing.

Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Post openings for various positions across our Southeast apartment communities.
  • Screen resumes and schedule interviews across multiple property locations.
  • Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and reference checks.
  • Facilitate onboarding and introduce new hires to the benefits platform.

Property Operations Support
  • Track compliance for mandatory industry certifications (e.g., Fair Housing, safety, and technical certs).
  • Audit location sites for property poster compliance.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1–2 years in an administrative role; experience supporting an HR department or a multi-site company is a plus.
  • Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP and Yardi).
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of employment laws, Fair Housing guidelines, and COBRA/HIPAA.
  • Traits: Strong multitasking abilities to handle requests from multiple out-of-state property sites.
