We are seeking a Training Specialist to design, implement, and improve training programs in a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment. This role ensures employees develop the skills needed to support plant performance, close skill gaps, and meet business objectives. The Training Specialist will manage training delivery, maintain development systems, and monitor effectiveness through key performance indicators.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Identify training needs through performance data, skill matrices, and stakeholder input
  • Develop and execute annual training plans aligned with business goals and budget
  • Design and deliver technical, operational, and professional training programs
  • Coordinate internal and external training, including scheduling, materials, and instructors
  • Maintain training systems (LMS/TMS) and accurate training records
  • Track and evaluate training effectiveness; adjust programs as needed
  • Manage skill matrices and employee development tracking
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and customer requirements
  • Generate reports and analyze training data (Excel/Power BI)
  • Support e-learning development and delivery
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What will you bring to the table (Skills/Experience Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Communications, or related field
  • 2+ years of training and development experience (manufacturing preferred)
  • Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949 / VDA 6.3 requirements preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with LMS platforms and e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes is a plus
