Job Overview

The Retail Store Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining store appearance, and supporting daily store operations. This role plays a key part in creating a positive shopping experience and driving sales.

Job Responsibilities:

Greet customers promptly and assist with product selection and inquiries
Provide knowledgeable information about products, promotions, and store policies
Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system
Handle cash, credit, and returns in accordance with company procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor
Assist with merchandising, displays, and inventory replenishment
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies
Support opening and closing store procedures
Resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
Work collaboratively with team members to meet sales goals

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic math skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 lbs as needed
Frequent walking, bending, and reaching

Work Environment

Retail store setting with moderate noise levels
May involve working during peak hours, weekends, and holidays
