Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Drivers Shopping Centers in Tustin, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail center location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. This driving position offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven values through teamwork.

Position Type: Full Time / Overnight Shift 

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, entrances, perimeter areas, and surrounding property.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations, helping to deter unauthorized access and inappropriate conduct.
• Assist with access control, traffic and parking-related procedures, directions, and other security-related support for a positive visitor experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
