We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge, troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues involving engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct inspections and diagnostic testing to identify equipment concerns and determine appropriate repairs.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools, software, and testing equipment to troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records for all vehicles and equipment serviced.
  • Ensure work is completed in compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair status, parts needs, and equipment conditions.
  • Stay current on industry standards, technology, and best practices related to diesel repair and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license. 
  • Previous experience as a diesel mechanic or in a related heavy equipment repair role is required.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, vehicle systems, and mechanical repair procedures.
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Valid Class A or Class B commercial driver’s license preferred.
