JOB PURPOSE:

The Administrative Assistant acts as the initial point of contact for NAPA's central office. A person in this position is responsible for greeting and interacting with customers and vendors who come into the office, and coordinating communication with various NAPA stores.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Establish and maintain good relationships with NAPA customers, vendors, and Store Managers. 
  • Answer phones, route calls and answer basic inquiries.
  • Open and route incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Create and maintain accurate files.
  • Assist store managers and employees with incoming questions.
  • Input data and generate reports under direction from the Accounting Manager.
  • Assist with elements of collections – research, data gathering and reporting.
  • Assist and support administrative staff.
  • Protect Dyna Parts by keeping information confidential.
  • Help ensure the Central Office and Reception Area are kept neat and organized.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Driver’s License preferred.
  • Previous administrative or accounting experience preferred.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred.
  • Capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers (both visually and aurally) and remembering their sequence.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy as well as ability to multi-task and is self-motivated.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Capable of lifting and moving merchandise of up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and be able to reach upper shelves with use of stool or ladder when necessary.
  • Ability to sit for entire work shift.
  • Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively.
