In June 2025, Crane announced our intent to acquire Precision Sensors & Instrumentation (“PSI”), a leading provider of sensor-based technologies for aerospace, nuclear and process industries, from Baker Hughes. The $1.1 billion acquisition will add roughly $400 million in sales and 1,700 associates to Crane. PSI includes the Panametrics, Druck, and Reuter-Stokes brands that manufacture instrumentation and sensor-based technologies to detect and analyze pressure, flow, gas, moisture, and radiation across various industries, serving customers in more than 90 countries. OPPORTUNITY

This exciting opportunity is part of the nuclear business. The acquisition of Reuter- Stokes enables the nuclear business to expand their strong foothold in the nuclear industry. With the acquisition, we will be able to provide additional solutions to support the industry. These solutions include precise radiation measurement, nuclear reactor monitoring, UV flame detection, and downhole sensing for directional drilling.

The Sr. Staff Accountant will support the Senior Accountant and other key managers within the business. Supporting a leadership team that is new to Crane requires a proactive mindset and a hands-on approach to financial operations.

The Sr. Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance for approximately 170 associates at the Twinsburg, OH location. They will collaborate with the Senior Accountant and finance team to ensure the financial infrastructure is aligned to support key deliverables and profitable growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

General Ledger & Financial Reporting

• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close processes.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reports.
• Support compliance with GAAP and internal control standards.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Support

• Assist with invoice processing, payment tracking, and vendor communications.
• Support collections efforts and customer account reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate application of payments and receipts.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Provide data and analysis to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Assist in variance analysis and reporting to management.

Audit & Compliance

• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain organized records and support audit readiness.

Process Improvement & Systems

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency.
• Support ERP system enhancements and data integrity initiatives.
• Participate in CBS-driven kaizen activities and standard work adoption.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the Senior Accountant and other finance team members to support shared goals.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Contribute to a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• High integrity and alignment with Crane’s core values.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus or in progress.
