Material Handler


People Architects is hiring for a family-owned, full-service custom injection molder
and contract manufacturer based in Northeast Ohio. 

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler (PM Shift) to join the
team. The Material handler will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations
of the plastic injection molding processes by ensuring machines are supplied with the
proper material when needed.


The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and able to work independently while supporting the needs of the production team.


Key Responsibilities
Supply injection molding machines with the correct raw materials according to production requirements.
Load, unload, move, and stage raw materials, finished goods, and production supplies.
Verify material types, lot numbers, and quantities before delivering materials toproduction.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.
Maintain accurate material and inventory records.
Perform material changes and ensure proper material is available for scheduled production runs.
Monitor material levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
Keep material storage areas clean, organized, and properly labeled.
Follow all safety procedures, company policies and requirements.
Assist with grinding/reclaiming plastic materials and maintaining proper material segregation when required.
Support production operators and setup technicians with material-related needs.
Properly handle and dispose of scrap and waste materials.
Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or injection molding environment preferred.
Forklift experience preferred; certification/training will be provided.

Ability to read and understand production schedules, labels, and basic instructions.
Basic math and counting skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify different materials and lot numbers.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required.
Must be willing to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, and moving equipment.


Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to [50] pounds.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb as necessary.
Ability to safely operate or learn to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
