Northeast Loop 323 - Tyler, TX 75708Position Type: Full Time  Title: Counter Sales Associate Department: Front Counter   General Summary:  The primary responsibility of this employee is to process orders from walk-in customers, by phone, and by e-mail. Material is purchased on account, credit card, cash, and check.    Key Responsibilities: Enters customer order into the business system. Completes order by filling, checking and processing order. Maintains a balanced cash drawer. Provides customer with basic technical support. Handles incoming returns from customer and forwards to returns department. Assists in processing returns when requested by CSRM Processor, Operations Manager or Branch Manager. Re-stocks material that is not sold on a daily basis. Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions product weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products. Operates forklift: proper training and certification required. May also use material handling equipment (including pallet jack, dollies and handcart. Assists in maintaining a neat & professional counter area including general housekeeping as needed. Assists in daily warehouse operations when requested by leader/supervisor/manager. Makes urgent pick-ups and deliveries as directed by the Construction Sales Supervisor, Operations Manager or Branch Manager. Assists in creating, implementing and revising procedures and work instructions. Supports the quality initiatives set forth by the Region.   Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent required.  Two or more years of work experience in warehouse operations preferred. Two or more years of working knowledge of internal operations and products authorized to be distributed preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with customers professionally. Ability to work with minimal supervision, organizing, prioritizing, and completing tasks.
