  • UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

A Day in the Life of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist:


Responsibilities

  • Performs nuclear medicine procedures on patients of all ages by utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in order to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
  • Will rotate to the main campus, 5th street Imaging, and the outpatient cardiology Imaging department as required by the NM Coordinator.
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight.
  • Required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Call required.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of an approved nuclear medicine technologist program.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate nuclear medicine imaging. equipment/computer systems to perform all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required.
  • NMTCB or ARRT(N) eligible within 90 days of hire date.
  • TMB eligible within 90 days of hire date.
  • Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire date.
  • HAZMAT Certification within 90 days of hire date.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Customer service experience.
  • NMTCB Specialty Certification(s).
