Shift Leaders and Assistant Managers
Southern Classic Chicken is looking for strong, hands-on leaders to join our team. This is more than an opportunity to manage a shift. It’s a chance to develop people, create memorable guest experiences, and support a culture grounded in our mission: To Bring You Back.
Available Positions
Shift Leader - Estimated pay range: $16 - $18 per hour, based on experience
Shift Leaders set the pace during every shift. You’ll coach team members, maintain high standards, solve problems, and help create an environment where employees and guests feel welcomed and valued.
Assistant Manager - Estimated pay range: $18 - $20 per hour, based on experience
Assistant Managers help lead the entire restaurant operation. You’ll support hiring and training, develop future leaders, manage shifts, protect food and service standards, and partner with the General Manager to achieve business goals.

- Lead by example during busy, fast-paced shifts
- Coach employees with clarity, consistency, and respect
- Deliver hot, fresh food and genuine Southern hospitality
- Maintain strong standards for food safety, cleanliness, service, and accountability
- Address guest and employee concerns promptly and professionally
- Manage labor, cash-handling, inventory, and shift execution as appropriate to the position
- Recognize potential and help team members grow into future leaders
- Support a restaurant culture people are proud to be part of

What We’re Looking For
- Restaurant, retail, hospitality, or customer-service leadership experience
- A positive, hands-on leadership style
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- The ability to coach employees while maintaining clear expectations
- Dependability and availability to work restaurant operating hours
- A commitment to excellent food, service, cleanliness, and safety
- The confidence to make decisions and the humility to receive feedback
- A genuine desire to develop people and serve the Tyler community
Previous restaurant management experience is preferred for Assistant Manager candidates. High-potential candidates with strong leadership experience in another fast-paced industry are also encouraged to apply.
