Job Summary

  • Responsible for the performance of timely, accurate, quality clinical laboratory tests and basic clinical laboratory functions.

  • Appropriate specimen collection, handling, processing and corresponding orders for diagnostic testing.

  • Performance and appropriate documentation of diagnostic testing.

  • Performance and interpretation of quality control/calibration and participation in all quality assessment/improvement activities.

  • Perform maintenance, calibrations and function checks.

  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in this laboratory.

  • Candidate for this position must have availability to work variable day shifts with on-call and rotating weekends.

EDUCATION

Associate's degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school as an MLT or CLT required.
