Maintenance Mechanic II
Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic II performs intermediate-level mechanical maintenance and repair tasks to support the safe and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment. This role requires strong hands-on technical skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision on routine repairs, and a solid understanding of conveyor systems, chain drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical troubleshooting. While this is not an opening for an immediate position, it is an opportunity to be considered as roles become available throughout the year.
The Mechanic II serves as a skilled contributor within the maintenance team and provides support to both production operations and less experienced mechanics.

Key Responsibilities

Install, align, and maintain conveyor belt systems, including V-belts, timing belts, and modular belts, with limited supervision

Maintain and repair chain drive systems, tensioners, and lubrication systems to ensure proper equipment performance

Inspect, diagnose, and replace worn or failing mechanical components

Perform intermediate fabrication and mechanical work, including drilling, tapping, mounting, and basic welding

Assist with the installation, repair, and adjustment of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including cylinders, valves, regulators, and flow controls

Execute preventive maintenance tasks and perform mechanical inspections to support reliability initiatives

Troubleshoot mechanical failures using systematic problem-solving and root cause analysis

Read and interpret mechanical schematics, equipment drawings, and technical manuals to support repair activities
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred

2–5 years of industrial maintenance or mechanical experience

Working knowledge of mechanical systems, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics

Basic welding and fabrication experience preferred

Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment

May require standing, lifting, and working in varying temperatures

Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed
