Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Tyrone ASC - Tyrone, GA 30290Position Type: Part TimePOSITION SUMMARY:  The Medical Assistant provides basic support to physicians and other clinical personnel with regard to the care and treatment of patients.  This position performs certain administrative functions, including maintenance and order of medical supply inventory and occasional clerical assistance.  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  High School graduate or equivalent.  Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.  One year patient care experience preferably in a hospital setting.  REQUIRED LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION:  Current Basic Life Support Certification.  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:   Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.  Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions such as addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. Ability to perform required mathematical functions related to medication dosages and administration.  Functions within the position description and within the scope of employee/patient relationship.  Participates in opportunities of continuing education.  Demonstrates the ability to utilize recognized channels of communication.  Demonstrates the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, co-workers, and other health team members.  Qualifications
