Job Summary:
Performs a variety of duties involving the observation of cardiac monitors, interpretation and documentation of Cardiac Rhythm strips. Provides personal patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Medical secretary/receptionist experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association: Required
Facility Specific License/Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)Â certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
Essential Functions:
- Assists with patient care activities, as needed, under the guidance of the Charge Nurse or shift leader. Maintains work area(s) and equipment through cleaning, stocking and ordering of supplies.
- Takes and records vital signs, including pain scale according to established policies and procedures.
- Performs clerical duties, including chart management and maintaining unit supplies and forms. Manages front desk, assembling and maintaining medical charts.

- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
