Ideal Candidate Currently looking for motivated, initiative-takers who follow direction well and are eager to learn and grow alongside our brand. Job Description                           Role and Responsibilities Extensive knowledge of laws – DOT, IATA, IMDG, ITCO and other applicable regulations Knowledge or experience with hazardous materials and/or waste transportation a plus Successful completion of any IATA, IMDG, and ITCO training courses with a minimum score of 90% Ability to obtain other specific certifications as needed for position Data Entry Fleet/load/shipment planning (import and export) Carrier Management Freight Audit and Bill Pay prep Shipment/Packing scheduling Aids other team members with daily activities as needed Customer interface via email, phone, or through facility visits Ensure that all emails and phone inquiries from customers are answered within 2 hours of receipt Handle all assigned accounts efficiently Ensure that job-breakdowns, work instructions, SOPs and regulations are followed Mark and label cargo accordingly Must perform standard classifications Must perform all checklists   Qualifications and Education Requirements Must be able to work in fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects and tasks during the workday 3-5 years experience in Hazardous materials Knowledge of C2C software Experience with international trade and/or freight forwarding experience Customer Service oriented Quality Focused Detail oriented and organized Time Management with the ability to prioritize and plan operational workload Knowledge of DOT and other applicable federal and state regulations Other skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate with people from all levels of education and backgrounds Ability to communicate clearly via email Ability to initiate and maintain relationships with internal and external customers Analytical and problem-solving skills Strategic thinking, scenario planning, and risk mitigation techniques and systems Must be patient and adjust to change quickly Proven Proficiency in Microsoft Software   Additional Notes DGM provides equal employment opportunities to qualified applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other status protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
