Description
La Terra Fina is looking for a General Ledger Accountant  to join our growing team.  You will be responsible for key month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting. This role supports audit execution, Oracle Fusion ERP/EPM reporting, and process improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening accrual accuracy, cross-functional communication, and close efficiency.Â
Requirements
Month-End Close & Journal EntriesÂ
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries for Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics and Manufacturing Overhead. Â
- Perform AP invoice accrual, coordinating with accounting team members to identify needed accruals.Â
- Ensure entries are accurate, complete, timely, and supported in accordance with GAAP, company policy, and internal controls.Â
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with close timelines.Â
Account ReconciliationsÂ
- Prepare account reconciliations, including cash, debt, non-trade receivables, accrued demos, coupon liability and V Card liabilities.  Â
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items and ensure appropriate documentation and follow-up.Â
Variance AnalysisÂ
- Participate in monthly variance analysis, including actuals versus budget and prior year.Â
- Identify key variance drivers and partner with budget owners as needed.Â
Insurance Renewal SupportÂ
- Assist in the preparation of annual insurance renewal schedules and supporting documentation, as required.Â
Oracle Fusion ERP / EPM ReportingÂ
- Prepare, maintain, and enhance EPM reports within Oracle Fusion ERP.Â
- Perform report tie-outs and ensure data integrity.Â
- Promote system efficiency, best practices, and key learnings to the broader accounting team.Â
Audit SupportÂ
- Assist in the annual financial audit, including preparation of PBC schedules and supporting documentation.Â
- Help coordinate internal deliverables and keep audit activities on track.Â
Process ImprovementÂ
- Support transformation of accrual processes to improve accuracy, timeliness, and documentation.Â
- Strengthen cross-functional outreach and accountability for accrual inputs.Â
- Implement month-end close process improvements, enhancing close efficiency and quality.Â
OtherÂ
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules as needed.Â
QualificationsÂ
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.Â
- 2 + years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing experience preferred.Â
- Strong month-end close experience.Â
- Working knowledge of accrual accounting, prepaid accounting, and lease accounting.Â
- ERP experience required; Oracle Fusion ERP/EPM strongly preferred.Â
- Audit support experience preferred.Â
- Advanced Excel skills.Â
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.Â
