JOB TITLE: Aircraft Cover Technician

REPORTS TO: Cover Technician Lead


POSITION SUMMARY:

CubCrafters is looking for dependable, hardworking, team players willing to learn the trade of covering

aircraft. You must have attention to detail, able to perform repetitive tasks, and the ability to follow

instructions as they are directed. Prior experience is not required but a plus.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read, interpret design/engineering drawings, measurements and aircraft specifications.

• Create and utilize aircraft covering materials by utilizing Poly-Fiber, Oratex, and vinyl to fabricate and install aircraft panels using adhesives, hand tools, and power tools.

• Trace, cut, prepare and maintain aircraft vinyl patches/panels.

• Install aircraft panels/patches and ensure proper fit, finish, and adherence to quality standards.

• Inspect and report discrepancies to the Cover Technician Lead and execute repairs in

accordance with approved quality standards.

• Collaborate with lead technicians to improve processes, enhance safety, and reduce costs and cycle time.

• Ensure all adhesives and materials used are within approved quantity and shelf-life limits.

• Follow all safety, housekeeping, and PPE requirements.

• Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work with various materials and tools in a production environment.

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

• Proficient in the English language, with the ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in a professional workplace environment.

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or with a small team

• Ability to successfully manage and complete work orders by prioritizing multiple work orders with differing timelines and deadlines.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work including standing, walking, bending, kneeling and repetitive movement for extended periods.

• Ability to work under warehouse and production conditions where work is performed with regular exposure to varying indoor and outdoor temperatures, changing weather conditions, noise, moving equipment, and frequent movement between indoor and outdoor work areas.

• Ability to obtain and maintain all required security clearances, badges, and background check eligibility necessary for airport/TSA-regulated access.


COMPENSATION:

• Pay Range is $19.50 to $26.00, per hour depending on experience

• Sick Leave benefit which is more generous than what is required under the WA State Law (RCW 49.46.210).

• Pro-rated six (6) paid holiday annually.

• One week of paid vacation after one year of employment, two weeks of paid vacation after two years of employment.

• HSA, HMO, PPO medical plans available. Company pays 75% of base plan for employees and 25% of base plan for dependents. Vision, dental, life and LTD coverage available at employees’ expense, at a group rate. Health care plan is available the first of the month after 30 days of continuous employment.

• Access to CubCrafters’ aircraft, rental at the employee’s rate.


WORK SCHEDULE & CLASSIFICATION:

• Full-time, non-exempt (hourly).

• Approximately 40 hours per week.
