TheĀ FishĀ FilleterĀ isĀ responsible forĀ properly filletingĀ variousĀ speciesĀ ofĀ fishĀ forĀ production,Ā ensuringĀ maximum useĀ ofĀ product.Ā TheĀ filleterĀ willĀ meetĀ requiredĀ productivity,Ā quality andĀ safety expectationsĀ asĀ determined byĀ theĀ supervisor.Ā The employee will display a high level of detail in the execution of the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Cut a variety of fish to ensure lowest percentage of loss.Ā 
  • Maintain a clean work area and equipment to ensure the highest standards of sanitation.
  • SurveyĀ allĀ equipmentĀ toĀ assureĀ properĀ workingĀ order.Ā ReportĀ anyĀ malfunctioningĀ toolingĀ as needed.
  • Handle product properly to ensure maximum shelf life and sanitation.
  • Inform supervisor of any productionĀ orĀ safetyĀ concernsĀ orĀ problems.
  • Clean-up workstation and department at the end of shift.
  • Communicate quality issues to supervisors.
  • Meet all expectations for production and quality as established by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1-2 yearsĀ of cutting/filleter experience required.
  • EducationĀ -Ā HighĀ SchoolĀ DiplomaĀ orĀ equivalent.
  • Experience —2-3 years of experience use of fillet knives, food processing equipment and food safety in a fast-paced environment. Seafood experience preferred.
  • Work ethic — A demonstrated sense of urgency in meeting critical and time sensitive deadlines.
  • LanguageĀ -Ā BasicĀ EnglishĀ speakingĀ andĀ writtenĀ proficiency.
  • Environmental: Willingness to work in a cold climate of 35o.
