NATURE OF WORK
Under general supervision, provides administrative support to Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys; completes various clerical duties; Answering of the phones daily, efficiently, and accurately enters applications for charges, and processing of criminal court documents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Receives and enters applications for charges; enters necessary data into correct computer systems; scans documents; reviews applications to ensure all necessary documents are included, orders additional documents as needed; e-files charges for the attorney and all necessary documents for this case as needed. Â
- Answers incoming calls; responds to inquiries; redirects the calls to appropriate staff as needed. Provides back-up to other staff during absences.Â
- Receives and enters payments for bad check cases, restitution, and delinquent taxes.
- Sorts through incoming mail daily and does rounds for the office.
- Performs other duties as assigned to them.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is performed in a standard office environment and involves sitting for extended periods of time, standing, walking, bending/reaching, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
High School diploma and/or GED equivalent; and three (3) years of experience as a legal secretary or assistant is preferred but not required. We will train. Must pass a background check.Â
