Job Title: Direct Support Professional-Day Program (LO-DSP)
Supervised by: Director of Life Ops
Qualifications: They shall be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED. Chauffers license and experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
Licenses, Certificates necessary to perform job: current CPR, First Aid, Non-violent Crisis Systems, Medication Aid Certifications
Physical Requirements: (reasonable accommodations will be made if necessary)
- Must have ability to use a telephone and basic computer skills
- Must have reliable, safe transportation to get to work site and occasionally transport clients if needed
- Must have ability to obtain a chauffer’s license, four years of personal driving experience
- Ability/means to communicate/document important information
- Ability to maneuver steps and other barriers to some apartments
- Physical ability to transfer/lift individuals, help with personal care, and other direct support duties
- Ability to perform medication administration, CPR, First Aid, and crisis intervention techniques
Pay: Pay: Hourly; non-exempt

Hours: Flexible. Hours shall be scheduled at times needed to ensure proper supervision of individuals served. All employees shall abide by ABiLITY policies as a condition of employment. This is not a contract for employment.
Summary of Duties: This position requires skill and motivation to assist individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve life goals so that they may live their lives in the least-restrictive environment. Semi-skilled direct care work includes observation and recording accurate data for further assessment. This position requires an individual who can project calm confidence at times of stress when helping others.
