Overview

Responsible for electrical maintenance in various areas of the mill and ancillary equipment working a 4 on 4 off 12-hour rotating swing shift. 

Responsibilities

• Leader in locking out equipment and assuring that all maintenance work is done safely.
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment problems, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, project work and installation of new electrical equipment.
• Assist mechanics and operators with daily maintenance work.

Qualifications

Required

• At least 5 years working as an industrial electrician or technician in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of power distribution, AC/DC motors, motor control and motor drives
• Experience with PLC’s, drives and HMI software
• Skilled at troubleshooting, problem solving and installation of electrical equipment

Preferred

• Good working knowledge and understanding of Siemens PLC’s, drives, HMI software, low and medium voltage equipment, AC motors and AC drives
• Formal electrical training
